As you may have noticed, I have changed my journal to an awesome, dA related skin by `duhcoolies It's pretty nifty and something different.

I recently picked up, on sale for a very good deal, a Spyder2 monitor and printer calibration system. Now my colours are all perfect, which I think is an important part of viewing photos! Luckily my monitor wasn't very far off in the first place, but it's nice to be sure and to be able to keep equipment calibrated regularly.

Been doing loooots of shooting around town and experimenting a bit with my photos. I hope you enjoy some new stuff. Also please check out my website [link] !

I'm officially a few weeks into my full time program at Focal Point. It's been a slow start full of introductions between students and teachers, and going over the basics, Photo 101. But we're already getting into more hands on stuff and I'm actually kind of excited to shoot with film for a bit again. Black and white, but also some colour darkrooms. A lot of the students haven't ever shot with film or even with their DSLRs in manual so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

I had a crazy last few weeks with Shambhala, Warped Tour, Kings of Leon and Zombie Walk 2009. It's all documented on my website so check it out for more pictures!

I'm strongly considering attending Focal Point even though I may be overqualified in many aspects of what the full-time course offers. The benefits of going would be to keep shooting, hopefully learn something new, and to meet new people. It's only 5 mins away from my house too! So, yeah, I'm debating whether to spend the sizable amount to go.

How are you people? I hope you're taking lots of photographs and making amazing art. I hope you are not hooked on the crack. I decided to get a few months more of subscription here so that I don't completely fade away.

My life's in limbo again. I thought I might get into the photo program at a college here, but that's not happening now. I quit my job just so I would have more time to upgrade my math prerequisite. So now I have no job and no school coming up. What should I do? Bake in the sun until something magical happens? I think that's a great answer to my own question.
